Refer a patient
Board qualified (ABFAS) in foot surgery and reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery. Residency faculty at Corewell Health Wayne and McLaren Macomb.
Who to refer
- Charcot neuroarthropathy, acute or chronic
- Diabetic foot ulcers, foot infections and limb salvage
- Foot and ankle fractures and other trauma
- Rearfoot and ankle deformity: adult flatfoot (PCFD), ankle arthritis, chronic ankle instability
- End-stage ankle arthritis: total ankle replacement and ankle/hindfoot fusion
- Revision surgery: nonunion, malunion, failed fixation and post-traumatic arthritis
- Ankle arthroscopy, osteochondral lesions of the talus and impingement
- Cavovarus foot reconstruction and tendon transfers
- External fixation for trauma, Charcot and limb salvage
- Achilles tendinopathy, Haglund's deformity and ruptures
- Bunions, hammertoes, heel pain, ingrown nails and other forefoot problems

- Reason for referral and how urgent it is
- Recent notes, medication list and relevant history (for example diabetes, A1c, vascular status)
- Any X-rays, CT or MRI reports
- Patient demographics and insurance information
Urgent referrals: for a suspected acute Charcot foot, infected wound or new fracture, please call the office directly so we can see your patient quickly.
